Kanj 2010: Lingam Shrine

Lingam Shrine is a small phallic structure at Nai Lert Park in Bangkok. The situation of this shrine is little bit unusual. It is located at the Swissotel Hotel. Lingam Shrine was constructed by a well established business man. He created this shrine to give tribute to a female spirit called Jao Mae. It is the spirit of fertility and it is believed that she stays in the Banyan tree of that place. Lingam Shrine is very famous among the young women who seek fertility.

I went to Swissotel several times but don't know about Lingam Shrine. Next time I went there I will see it with my own eyes. Ha Ha Ha.
